Joseph Bishell, LSCSW
Joseph is a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience providing therapy to veterans, caregivers, parents of children with developmental disabilities, people who identify as LGBTQ+, and anyone seeking help on life’s journey. He received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2003 and his clinical license in 2007.
Joseph’s approach to therapy is strengths-based, focusing on the client’s personal values and strengths. He believes that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow, and he works with clients to identify and build on their strengths. He also believes that the client is the director of their own therapy, and he is there to provide support and guidance along the way.
Joseph provides therapy for a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, and relationship problems. He is also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).
Joseph is a compassionate and experienced therapist who is committed to helping his clients reach their full potential. He is available for in-person and telehealth appointments.
